How often in our conversations do we hold up just short of telling the other person, or persons, everything they need to hear? It may be a painful part of the conversation we hesitate to approach for fear of offending people even though it is exactly the advice they need to hear. Something that may be painful now but will result in unlimited growth later on. Instead, we only tell them the truth that we can bear to communicate. Sure it is the truth, but is it the whole truth?
This is part of communication skills that for most of us is difficult. We get most of the truth out but stop short of the most important, difficult part of the conversations. Like going out on a special evening with your significant other and telling them they look fine, and missing out on an opportunity to tell them how nice they look or that plaids and stripes don't go well together.
