So ask yourself a simple question, "what exactly are my strengths and weaknesses?"
So often during our coaching, we find those people that think they have a particular knack for some area of leadership. Or someone in their organization promoted them to a leadership role because they saw some promise in that person in a particular area. This then becomes the new leader's main focus on leading people ignoring any other potential areas for improvement because they think that is their key to success. Or worse, they try to continually impress their organization by trying that one trick over and over and over... you get the picture. This leads to burnout, stress, poor performance, lack of versatility, poor timing, quitting their jobs, or involuntary termination from the very organization that promoted them to begin with.
